SPFE26200 | Climb Over
6-12 Ar
With this equipment, the child learns to do a lot of things on different levels: the child can climb the stairs with use of hands and then run down to the bottom level. They can also jump down from the top to the bottom. Children can do the same activities without the use of hands which means that it will be more difficult to achieve because they also have to learn how to keep their balance; otherwise they will fall off. The most difficult task is to crawl above and below the tubes of the stairs and then either jump or run down from top to bottom. In this case, the children improve their flexibility by moving their body like a snake. If a child can do this well, he's really an agility expert!
SPFE26210 | Balance Beams
6-12 Ar
Balance Beams train you in keeping your balance while planning your next movement to cross the beam as soon as possible- without falling off. Children have to learn to coordinate their movements and when they manage to cross the first beam well, they can try to start jumping from one beam to the other or balance with a foot on each beam. In this case, the coordination skills are trained more thoroughly because you have to plan your movement even better to be able to jump from one beam to the other without falling off. Children can also sit on one beam and put their feet under the other beam to train their abdominal muscles.
SPFE26220 | Hang Bridge
6-12 Ar
Children can swing from one beam to the other in order to reach the other side of the equipment as quickly as possible. Children train their upper-body and their coordination skills on this activity. They learn to practice Movement Planning and at the same time train their muscles (arms, chest and back). Children will also learn to keep their balance while they hang on the beams and do the jumping activity with their body. As a result of the agile movements demanded by the play equipment, they also train their sense of rhythm. Children learn to have endurance in order to reach the other side.
SPFE26230 | Tarzan Walk
6-12 Ar
Try to keep your balance while walking on the chain and holding onto the top rope in order to walk from one side of the equipment to the other. Children have to adapt to the changing heights of the rope as they are walking along the chain. This trains eye-hand coordination and demands adjustment of balance. The children have to plan their movement well so they can act and react with their body to the changing environment as a result of the changing rope heights.
SPFE26290 | Up and Over
6-12 Ar
Climb up and over the bars as quickly as you can by using your climbing skills. Children will have to keep their balance in order not to fall off. Planning and coordination of movement are important to be able to climb the bars because, firstly, a child has to place his hands and then the rest of the body has to follow. Climbing the vertical bars is excellent upper-body training. Hanging on the highest bar, facing forward and lifting up the legs trains the arm and the abdominal muscles. Climbing the tubes instead of climbing the stairs is only for the real Agility expert!
SPFE26300 | Unequal Hurdles
6-12 Ar
Children have to jump over the unequal hurdles as fast as they can. Children have to adjust their movements from jumping higher to jumping lower so this asks for careful planning and coordination, otherwise children will fall. Bodies have to be adapted to the changing situation of higher and lower hurdles. The hurdles can also be used for somersaulting, which trains posture and the sense of balance. Children learn to have endurance while trying to increase the amount of somersaults they can do, e.g. as part of a competition game between children.
SPFE26310 | Armwalk/Balance/Fitness
6-12 Ar
With this equipment, you have three agility items in one piece of equipment. Concentration and strength are needed to walk with your arms close to your body along the two parallel steel tubes without touching the ground. You can also climb the banister bars or slide downwards. The banister bars train the upper-body (arms, chest and back). Good action and reaction is needed to be able to stay on this narrow balance beam and try to reach the platform which leads to the arm walk. The platform also provides the opportunity for doing sit ups. When you finish, you can continue with either the arm walk or the balance beam.
SPFE28630 | Ladder
6-12 Ar
Children find it exciting to climb. The ladder is a challenge which simply has to be taken. On one side you climb up the mountain, and you descend on the other side by using the brackets. You can also start the other way around and thereby choose a different play direction. While climbing this equipment, children practice their sense of balance, train their muscles and learn to plan their movements while climbing from one side to the other side of the equipment. As a third activity, the child can also crawl under the equipment.
SPFE28645 | Sway Alley
6-12 Ar
The beam moves as soon as a child stands on it, so you really have to use your sense of balance to get to the other side! Children have to plan their movements well and have a clear strategy of how to reach the other side as quickly as possible. It's especially difficult when other children keep coming after you in the track because then all beams start to move in various directions. Thus, children learn to act and react to different situations and have to change their strategy in order to reach the other side as speedily as possible.
